Wet n’ Wild Offers One Last Expensive Ride

The Business Press is reporting that the defunct Wet n’ Wild amusement park inked an option agreement to sell the 26.5 acres of North Strip real estate for $450 million, or $17 million an acre to Texas developer Christopher Milam. The sale price makes this deal one of the most expensive to date for all recorded North Strip deals.
The property will provide Milam with 950 feet of frontage on the Strip and another 850 on Paradise Road. Milam plans to build a megaresort in the range of $4 billion with 4,500 hotel rooms and a projected opening in late 2010 or early 2011.
