MGM Goes Residential
MGM Mirage has formed a residential real estate sales arm called CityCenter Realty Corp. which will focus on the sale of the approximate 2,800 luxury residences being deveopled as part of Project CityCenter. CityCenter Realty Corp. will allow buyers to purchase direct from the developer. Bob Hamrick, heretofore the broker-owner of Las Vegas’ Coldwell Banker Premier Realty will head the division.
Scheduled to open in 2009, Project CityCenter includes a 60-story, 4,000-room hotel-casino; two 400-room, non-gaming hotels; 500,000 sf of retail shops, dining and entertainment venues; and the aforementioned luxury residential units. Foundation work for the 66-acre development began in June. The residential presentation center is slated to open in January 2007.
