Las Vegas….Jewelry Capital of the World! Well, may be not just yet, but that is what the Mayor is working toward. He is expected to announce plans for the World Jewelry Center this week.
Located at Union Park near Grand Central and Bonneville, the new building is expected to revolutionize the jewelry industry. When completed, the building will include a retail center, a jewelry and gem museum, and a few luxury condominiums on the top floors thrown in for good measure.
To be built next to the World Market Center, the World Jewelry Center will finish construction at the end of 2009, beginning 2010. When completed, it will stand over 50 stories high and be one of the tallest office buildings in Las Vegas.
