The commerical real estate market is continuing to be a strong performer as 2006 draws to a close. The office and industrial markets are doing quite well. The rental apartment sectors is increasing rents, and the hotel industry is doing better than is has since 2001, according to the NAR.
Not including the hotel sector and properties valued less than $5M, over $236.0 billion in commercial real estate transaction volume was recorded in the first ten months of 2006. That is up from $231.9 billion for the same period in 2005.
